A recent study of just how social networks lead college students to determine, regard, and participate in “hooking upwards” indicated that while everybody is speaing frankly about they, nobody is exactly yes exactly what it indicates.
The study, carried out by Amanda Holman, a doctoral college student at the institution of Nebraska- Lincoln, and Dr. Alan Sillars on the college of Montana, was conducted on 274 college students at a sizable general public institution. They found that while 94 percentage of participating pupils were knowledgeable about the term “hooking right up,” there was no opinion by what “hooking right up” really entailed. Over one half described a hookup as involving intercourse, nine % outlined it as not including intercourse and about one-third stated perhaps unclear regarding if “hooking upwards” was required to include intercourse.
